Today was an absolute adventure! I strapped on my shoes and departed. I walked a total of 15 km today! at the midway point of my journey is where I found, Castelo de São Jorge.
This castle is over 2000 years old, and the site also contains an archaeological site that contains the remains of various human occupants from the 7th century BC. It has the remains of the old palace as well as the castle itself. truly magical.
On my way back I decided I was gonna stop for a Pastel de Nata and an espresso. I can understand why these little pastries are something that Lisbon is known for. The crust was nice and flaky, and the inside custard was a perfectly sweet addition.
I bought a fun little piece of art off of the artist in the street that just screams Lisbon. I went back out to my sunset spot again for an even more spectacular sunset. Don’t know it was a great day. Now enjoy this photo dump.
